The rear sump would sit right on top of the diff and the mid sump sits the rear of the sump on the front of the diff. The front sump clears the diff and almost clears the steering - only the last 50mm or so sits on the steering. The reason for the body lift is it allows you to sit the engine...

Both the Celsiour and the LS/SC400 are front sump, but the LS/SC are slighty more forward than the Celsiour - if that makes sence? I have a pic of both the Crown (mid) and Celsiour sump side by side on the floor. I can post it tomorrow if anyone is interested?
