The original S&S headers did have problems with cracking at one of the welds. They have been shipping a Version 2 which incorporated desgin changes that eliminated the cracking. In addition they have replaced each set of the original headers that had problems at no charge.

I've always thought about AEM but with all the talk, I really haven't seen anyone that has one running on a 1UZ. So for me I wouldnt want him to be the guinea pig for an AEM implementation. I have heard of several people succesfully running the Autronic, Adaptronic and Megasquirt

Well that depends upon what you consider low boost, I think Rod Millen expected you to run their kit 5psi and under on the factory computer. But 5 psi is in my experience unlikely to get you to 350 rwhp.

I have vvti, and it hasnt been an issue thus far. Plenty of other issues but not VVTI. If you want over 375 to the wheels my reccomendation is to put in forged rods and pistons, you will also need a decent computer for fuel and timing. Autronic is supposed to be a good match but no one to my...
