The original S&S headers did have problems with cracking at one of the welds. They have been shipping a Version 2 which incorporated desgin changes that eliminated the cracking. In addition they have replaced each set of the original headers that had problems at no charge.

I've always thought about AEM but with all the talk, I really haven't seen anyone that has one running on a 1UZ. So for me I wouldnt want him to be the guinea pig for an AEM implementation. I have heard of several people succesfully running the Autronic, Adaptronic and Megasquirt

Well that depends upon what you consider low boost, I think Rod Millen expected you to run their kit 5psi and under on the factory computer. But 5 psi is in my experience unlikely to get you to 350 rwhp.

With the VVTI it is about 15 psi intercooled, but I wouldnt try for 500rwhp with the stock engine.

Guys I found this on Ebay, I know the shop selling them but they are not my pistons. They are for a post 98 1uz with VVTI, I am not sure of the compression but it does say .040 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=300167800003 hope this helps someone.

My ross pistons (non Lextreme purchase) were definitely noisy when cold but after a few minutes they would quiet down. I didnt even notice it at first, I had to have it pointed out to me by my shop, so if you downt know what to listen for you may not even notice it.
