Thanks hiluxmad im not too hopefull about that interchangeability since the LS400 is a stand alone model with no cheapie verion to be seen in aus but see what you come up with, can you remember if there was a third member extending forward to the suspension at all and what cars might be similar...

ive been looking for a towbar for my celsior for some time now and with no luck im thinking i may have to fabricate my own. im interested if anybody who owns a LS400 or celsior equiped with a towbar could help me by either looking under there and telling me where they mount or even better...

ive got celsior/ls400 with 20's and my speedo is more accurate than the stock wheels i have checked this with a handheld gps unit thats accurate to 2 decimal places. stock wheels the clock showed 100 kph while true speed was around 96kph while the 20's with 235/40 profile rubber is much closer...

just done some reaserch and it seems the soarer has a different gearbox by 1 digit in its code which seems to me that they are almost identical outside if not totally identical. i am aware that teh 1st gear is also slightly shorter than the celsior gearbox which is why i want 1 :) basically...
