No, I haven't done anything about it. My Montero just sits by the shop begging for attention. I took a job that requires 180 mile per day commute and now I am thinking about putting a turbo diesel in it. But I just don't have much time to spend doing it now.

That's what I'm hearing on the Mitsubishi board I posted the same basic question on. That being the case, can anyone tell me what I will have to deal with in terms of the engine computer and the non-electric A44D transmission?
I'm thinking of swaping a UZFE into my 1989 Montero 4x4. It apprears to have a Toyota A44DL transmission in it from what information I have gathered. Can anyone tell me if the bolt pattern for the existing transmission matches the UZFE engine? I don't know if the Montero has a special case...
