4x4 conversion

Can anybody please tell me the difference between the 1uz with the front sump and the one with the middle sump?
We do a lot of conversions using the 1uz into 4x4 vehicles. Any info from your neck of the woods would be greatly appreciated.
Can you tell by looking at the engine nr with model engine it is?

all engines are basically the same apart from sump obviously to accomodate differant chassis

Also the is about 3/4 different ecu setups and just minor extrenal differances depending on what car the engine came from

there was a upgrade in the motor at one stage? How can one tell which is the newer engine?

they upgraded to vvti i believe with individual coil packs
