I remembered at Sema 2004. There was a race car with two Chevy Small Blocks (CSB) mate together and made mega horsepower. I wonder if that concept will work on two 1UZFE motors.

Here is a Bugatti W16 with quad turbos:

You mean a V-16? I have seen those. I think those have been around for a while. Someone makes/sells them. They are 2 chevy small blocks sharing one extra long crankshaft (not a W16). The engine is way too long for most cars.

cadilac has the V16--it may be an inline, im not sure-- in one of their show cars.. the bugati w16, on the other hand is very complex--i think its made by vw/audi..i would hate to try and work on one,,unless i got paid some bugati money..

Guys,

Caddy had the long block V16.

VW groupr have invested in thw 'W' formation engine and do a W8,10 and I believe 12 or 16 in the latest Bugatti (they own) as shown in the pic above.

The W engine is incredibly interesting, however due to the compactness effecting rods and crank, major tuning is limited.

That Bugatti W16, is bassicly designed by looking very good at the VAG Vr6 engines.
as are all the W12's and W10 which are made by the VAG guys.
But the bugatti engine has enourmous amounts of special parts that VW can only dream of.... what else do you put 1000hp+ at! don't get it wrong, it's bugatti designed but VAG inspirated.

the VAG W10 W12 engines are beautifull in design, but no tuning what soever is backed up by the factory (which is in fact the case with most VAG engines) because they feel the rods are to thin, they can't be made thicker because there's simply no space on the cranck, can't make it longer either because then the Vr6 24v heads wouldn't fit and that was the whole idea.

there's more power to be had from a good audi 2.7 V6 bi-turbo, than a VW pheaton W12 according to VW factory Tuners.

ps who needs more then v8 get the new BMW M6 v10 now that's an engine. if V8's enough, I know two brand new in crate M5 V8's with vanos, lying around here in holland.

You mean W8, not W10, right? I can't see how a W10 would work... :p
You'll be suprised. It's two V5(15 degree angle I think) mated side by side together, sharing a common crankshaft like all the other W type engines. Awesome design. The V5 is a VW production engine. Weird but true.

Yep quite right, about the W10, although
I don't know if the V5 Vw engine has also been desinged out of the VR6 (also 15 degrees I think) but the v5 4 motion Vw Golf's are a total bitch on the strip (ie very fast even in stock form)

so the VAG concern, has
B4, B6
L4, L5,
V4, V5, V6, V8,
W10, W12,
engines made in their factory's those people must have been very busy!

ps: still would have a toyota engine anytime!
