UZ Engines: Interference or Non Interference?

Good advice, I tried doing it in retrospect with the old belt after it had been removed but the cam and crank marks had all been long worn off and were impossible to find even in very bright sunlight.
What you can do is to line up the crank mark and 2 cam marks, then use white paper tape and stick each piece right in front of each pulley mark. Use a straight ruler and draw a line on the tapes from the crank & cam marks (inner belt edge) to the outer belt edge. So basically, you redraw the timing marks that were worn out. I do that all the time and everytime it works. Make sure the tapes are very sticky, or they'll get loosen up.
