Sump/pan questions

My 2uz from a 2002 Tundra has a front sump oil pan, I need a rear sump- the 100 series Landcruiser (2uz) uses the rear sump pan, my first question is is the rear sump that I found through classifieds here pretty much the same as a landcruiser rear sump? I know you may not know what the LC uses butIi was wondering if these were pretty much the same ( I did look at the cross reference of parts and since it is a 2uz (tundra) the rear sump from I beleive is a 1uz(have to verify with seller) will be identical to the 2uz (LC) rear sump/pan? confused yet?

I assume Toyota uses the rear sump for the LC for obviuos off road reasons the aluminum upper oil pan will prob. be the same but the pan may be deeper (longer pickup tube?)

will the lexus oil pan part # cross reference the LC pan part # ( i can get the LC part #and post it up here to confirm,

Thanks for any help/advice, this is just one of the many little details that these swaps so clean looking when they are done, a nice close tolerance fit.

I am not sure about the 100 series LC. From my little knowledge all Lexus and Toyota have front sump except the SC400 (rear) Crown (mid). Someone please correct me if I am wrong. One thing is for sure, they are all interchangeable as long as you have the oil pickup tube, pickup pan and oil pan.

I have the screen print from the Toyota dealer -parts #s and pics. From both the landcruiser and tundra... the landcruiser shows a rear sump pan in the pic as well as the upper oil pan that looks like a rear pan set up ..... here is the odd part- the tundra pic has the front sump pan in the pic as well as the upper oil pan for a front sump, but BOTH have the same part #s!!!(upper and lower pans) the pics are clearly different from one another in many ways, maybe I will have to dig deeper into this. (crawl under a LC100 and look for myself)

I corrected you, you were wrong.:sad6: dont ban me!!!! LOL kidding!

Maybe this can be added to the oil pan archives- that the 100 series LC has a rear (I beleive it isnt a middle one?!) oil pan and sump.

Thanks for the correction. Is the 100 series Land Cruiser a V8? What year of LC was the 100 Series?

sorry I didnt post the specs..... the 100 series has the 2UZFE and it has had this engine since the start of its production (98)
The 105 series still runs the 1FZFE over seas and still has a solid axle front suspension.

okay another tidbit of info for you UZ Motor heads, the tundra pan and sump is nothing like the ones pictured in the oil pan/sump picture thread- http://lextreme.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6497&highlight=sumps
I will try to post up pics by friday of my pan and sump.

The details on the engine/truck are - 2002 Tundra 2wd extra cab 2UZFE...
