Plug Leads

Hi All.
Since I have been on the forum I have found many good pictures of the 1UZ engine, I have noticed some have the plug leads coming from the ends of the cam covers and others where there is no visible leads going to the plugs, can any body tell which the engines are.

Post a photo and you'll have a 100% answer.

Some engines are missing the bridging plastic that covers the wires runing from side to side.

They will all be under the plastic covers on the top front of the motor.

Glad I askes a simple question, thats a days work, nothing easy is there.

It's easier the second time.
Even easier to get all the engine service jobs done while the engine is on the bench, e.g. Starter motor contacts, timing belt, plugs/leads ect.

Hi bushwhacker.
Yes I should do this. I know it had a service 11K ago and a new cam belt, I will be taking off the air con and power steering pumps as there are not required on the TVR, I have to find a smaller fan belt.

BTW, if you were wondering, thats a pre-'94 1UZ with the stronger rods, but lower compression.
