my 1uz supercharging power gains

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
hi

i wonder if there are variations in crank pulley sizes ?

it must be pulley sizes , either on the blower or the crank shaft
thats the only real way boost can be that much different ?

very interesting ,
maybe someone else out there can shed some light on this ?

ewan

AFAIK (and confirmed from Lexus parts technicians FWIW) all early 1UZ's had a 140mm crank dampner.

I did also confirm that the early 2UZ's, have a 157mm.

I don't have any information on the later 1/2/3UZ's VVTi motors.

Hmmm, I may have it backwards then. I have a larger crank pulley, which the Toyota guys told me came off the earlier 2UZ engine.

Nope, both early and later have the smaller pulley.

3UR has about a 157, but the 1UZ crankshaft if much too large and wouldn't leve much meat if you were to have it machined. Nice thing about the 3UR, is that it is an 8 rib.

Just checked RockAuto, which of course is THE authority on parts, right?

I checked 2UZ's from '98 up to when they were replaced with UR's, and they all supposedly use a 6 1/8" dampner.

Oddly, the site didn't have dampners for the 1UZ's, neither early nor late model.

I do have a dampner out in my garage which is supposed to be off a 2UZ, and it's 6 1/8". It's an 8 rib, and it fits on my 1UZ crank, as I've already run it on engine #1 with 20psi of supercharger boost.
