i´m new here in the lextreme forum, but my registration was 2002. Long time ago!
My name is Tom from Austria, 39 years old, 2 childs, and 4 dogs. My daily is a 2008 Highlander Hybrid and for sunnys days my 97 SC400.
Some member read maybe my nick in Clublexus or some other Lexus forums.
my first lex was 2001 a IS200 (1GFE), later with a turbo setup (GT2854BB), 2008 follows a 2001 RX300. But after a testdrive with a GS430, i know, i need a V8.
Here in europe, special in austria, the V8 GS are very rare. After several weeks for searching a GS, i found a SC400 from 1997 with 16500miles. Short testdrive and bought this car. All SC300/400 are imports here, maybe 6-7 pieces in Austria. after 10 years, the SC have near 27000miles.
Now, i have the car since may 2010. many mods done, some changed. now is a W58 installed with a 4.08 LSD, HKS Hipermax coilovers, Titan Motorsport swaybars, some poly bushings, stainless steel brake lines, front and rear upper struts, Blitz NurSpecs, Rays wheels and some more. i have a long thread in the clublexus and the lexusownersclub germany. if someone interest of more details or picture, please ask me
Next steps are to rebuild the gearbox (new countershaft, 3rd and 5th gear), little sound system upgrade, radiator change and preperation for a small turbo setup to have a little bit more fun. in this forum, i think, i find all answers for my questions
