Fuel Rail & Cold Start Injector Questions

Have done a seach but cannot find the info i'm looking for. From what i have found (correct me if i'm wrong) the early 1uz's had bilet steel fuel rails and a cold start injector while the later models had cast fuel rails and no cold start injector.

Now the motor i have has bilet steel rails and no CSI. I thought the previous owner must have removed it as there looks like there is a place it should be on the intake, (See pic) BUT i can't find any free fittings on the rails where a fuel line would connect to the CSI if there was one there.:squint:

Can anyone tell me if this is normal?
Of not where should the CSI connect to the fuel lines and into the wiring loom???

your engine looks like it has the cold start injector - the plug is under the booster vaccuum pipe. the hole you have circled is a EGR port which many engines never have fitted. Cheers

ahh okay, thanks for that! so it will be okay to leave that hole, that is circled un-covered?
