I searched around the forum for elm327 compatibility for a 1999 1uz vvti (toyota celsior variant specifically) as per info on this forum. I found the mini vci cable helps but is there a elm327 adapter these days that can work? None of the ebay links i found are hosted anymore. Wanting an option with less moving parts.
I understand we need version 1.5. Ive purchased a few but they all had hard ver 1.5 but software version 2.1.
Tried elmscan (ecu is not respond error), torque pro(keeps trying endlessly) and infocar (connects briefly then drops) set to 14230 protocol.
My ecu is 89661-50521. Japan.
