CD009 swapped GS400 park/drive

hello! my first post here definitely wont be the last. just bought someones beat up gs400 track car with a CD009. trying to get it into a condition i can daily.

the way the car works right now is that its always in park. is the car going to run properly like this or are a/f ratios and other things changed when the ecu thinks the car is parked? is there any reason i should be trying to find a way to swap between park and drive?

It shouldn't impact the AFM, as you're bypassing the transmission ECU, while allowing you to turn on the car, otherwise it would be a pretty paper weight. Hope this helps.

As I understand it (so far) the ECU will nerf the engine power without the trans signals - is it running standalone ECU?
