i got an 87 supra with an ls4oo motor and i heard there would be fitment issues with the right side header. would i have to get the sc4oo headers?
Anybody have any clue about getting a down pipe? if not i may take it to a local exhaust shop. And i need a source on gettn the 1uz bellhousing bolts(engine side):dot:

mmmm...there's an LS400 in one of the local junk yards here in San Antonio. If you come down, I can hook you up.

all i need from the ls400 is the engine side bellhousing bolts. Id rather get the bolts from toyota than travel 8 hours both ways spend 80 on gas 20 on food to work 30min to get some bolts. thats just aint practical. as far as the downpipe and the headers that's what i was wondering, which one do i use (SC400 or LS400) or will i have to have one fabbed up.

im makeing my downpipe for my supra, I ordered some cat flanges from lex, a 3" two bolt flange from ebay and some mandrel bent tubing, Im collecting the two headers into a single 3" apexi cat back exhaust. if you dont feel you can make this, buy the proper flanges and take the car up to a muffler shop, would even be better if you bought the pipe too, as most muffler shops bends suck

These two articles should both help. The LS400 exhaust manifolds will fit. Some people use to think the SC400 exhaust manifolds would not fit, however if the heat shields are removed (and sometimes even the heat shield weld nuts) they fit in the Supra. Out of the two, the SC400 has the better exhaust manifolds.

As far as fitment issues go, if this is going into a Supra, you need the SC400 oil sump configuration.

For bolts, here is Cribbj's post about the bolts and size required. Although these were in response to a request for size for use with an engine stand so the actual may be shorter.
