ACL Forged Pistons

I was in Repco today and picked up an ACL catalogue, and I was very suprised to see that ACL make Low(8.5:1) and High(10.5:1) compression forged pistons, they come in .5mm or 1.0mm overbore only. So I got them to find out a price which was "around" $AUD1300. Which really isnt too bad.

curious about this... was this a listing specifically for the 1uz?? if so, that's great news!!! does the price come with rings????

R-Jay, yes the listing was specific for the 1uz. Part No. 8MKRY9636(that's for high C/R replace the 6 for a 7 for the low C/R). And the price includes rings according to the catalogue.

What does a thicker Cometic gasket cost in comparison?

much, much less...but with the gasket you may disturb the burn in the cylinder whereas the forgies shouldnt do so

then again, new engines still cost less than these forgies even though they are an awesome price...actually i should see how much they are at trade
