An engine I am looking at is very cheap, but the owner said it jumped a tooth on the timing belt and started to knock.
The engine is a 1991 LS400 1uzfe. I have not gone to look at it yet (1 hour away) but if its can be other than rod knock I will go look at it.
Now I thought what if the valves were hitting the piston, but isnt it not supposed to on the non VVTI engines?
