    1995 on LS400 brakes on a Soarer

Well got them all fitted and new DOT 5.1 fluid in the whole system today, with stainless braided brake lines all round and gave the rear callipers an overhaul too. My word what a difference!!!! Leaving the workshop they were crap:smash: but then they wern't bedded in. Gave them ten miles...

    1995 on LS400 brakes on a Soarer

All painted, pads fitted and ready to go on. Sadly the Lextreme stickers pealed off when covered with clearcoat.

    1995 on LS400 brakes on a Soarer

Yes thay are alloy. To fit them to the Soarer you do need to file off the bit shown in the pics below (not sure if you have to on the SC400). I've now rounded of the sharp edges of the filed bit and painted them black. Just waiting for that to dry and I'll be adding Lextreme stickers and...

    1995 on LS400 brakes on a Soarer

These arrived today from Lextreme, fantastic service once again:banana: They are 1995 onwards LS400 calipers and discs 315mm. This is a trail fit. The dust sheld at the back of the disk is going to have to come off or be modded. The wheels clear the new calipers, but the calipers are going...

How is it that my car runs with no MAF?

The ecu will revert to open loop, so will not use any engine sensors other than throttle position and engine revs to determine the amount of fuel to add and the ignition timing, just as it does when the engine is cold.

Supra Vs. LS400 (95) Brake Upgrade

The calipers are unsprung weight, so any weight saving is well worth while.

Seller Feedback Lextreme - Fantastic service

I ordered an altenator for my V8 Soarer from Lextreme as they are stupidly overpriced here in England. Arrived quicklu, well packaged and my car now works:biggrin: Many thanks Lex:arms::bigok::notworthy::headbang::biggthumpup:

    NOS or Fish?

I'm in exactly the same boat. I think N2O is going to win in the end as I'm happy with the performance of my car 98% of the time, but there is the odd occasion when I want alot more power. I see one of the main advantages of N2O being that for normaly driving about the car will perform the...

Well that was a long weekend!

For changing the engine I would say it's deffinatly easier to pull it with the box too. All that needs to be disconnected from the box is the prop (oil doesnt leak out) the selector linkage (one 13mm nut!) and the gearbox mount (four 17mm nuts and four 14mm nuts). The exhaust has to come off...

Well that was a long weekend!

Firstly I should say hi, been regestered for a few weeks, but not really had anything to post until now. My stock V8 has been using coolant at a rate of 3 quarts every 100 miles, loads of steam coming out of the exhausts and exhaust gas in the cooling system suggested a blown head gasket or...
