Has Anyone Run AV Gas in the 2UZ

Higher octane fuel actually has less potential energy then lower octane. The benifit is that the higher the octane the less likely it is to predonate making it possible to run higher compression and/or more boost and make more power that way. Unless your engine requires you run a higher octane...

    Problems with LPG

No, you do not HAVE to have duel fuel w/ petrol to start, normally propane will do just fine. Being a gas the pressure is reduced as the temp decreases making injection less efficient. Gasoline/petrol is injected as a liquid so it doesn't suffer in this maner. I don't know what PSI a specific...

    LPG Conversion Kit

Unfortunatly at this time GotPropane doesn't touch fuel injection, just carbed engines.

    LPG Conversion Kit

I have not checked into it personally but I believe around $1400 was mentioned before.

    LPG Conversion Kit

Technocarb.com was mentioned in a previous thread as having a reasonably priced electronically controlled LPG/dual fuel system. I would love to see someone try it. They are just across the border in BC. 1UZs are OBDII right?

    Rush Imports

Are there any estimated power numbers for this as well as cost? Sounds dead sexy if it can be done affordably.

    SC14 Supercharger

I say make it happen and then tell us how much more it will cost when it is all said and done. I would love a $95 supercharger but what else would you need? I would love to see a "cheap" supercharger for those of us who can't afford all of the bling. I don't need anything crazy either. For...

Newbie, swapping a 2UZFE into an FJ80 Land Cruiser-almost finished.

Before you put that back in there for the last time you should think about painting your engine bay one color. Hard to show off your sweet new shinny engine in an ugly ass bay.

1UZ-FE Transplant into 91 Hilux Surf

The mount that came with my Rancho kit uses a simple 90 degree bend to put the mount in the same place as pictured but it bolts to the IFS subframe using those two large bolts that hold on the lower IFS crossmember. Sorry I can't seem to find any pics, but you should be able to order up the...

    Good deal for swappers...Act fast

Too bad it is from TAP. They have the worst rep in the business. Only go there if you like getting screwed.

Tube is always measured as an OD. Pipe is measured ID. If you need to know the ID of tube then of course it should be described by the wall thickness as well.

    Oil Cooler for SC400

How large do the oil tubes need to be to flow enough? I love the simplicity of this but the lines look a bit small. Is this the case?

    Differences between the LS400 and SC400 1UZs?

What are the differences between the LS400 and SC400 1UZs? Which is better for a swap into a 93 Toy P/U. Did any come with a rear sump oil pan?

2uzfe with a spun bearing worth rebuilding? Better then 1UZ?

I might be able to pick up a 2uzfe that spun a bearing. Would it be affordable to rebuild or better off not bothering? Is the extra weight of the iron block even worth the few extra hp over a 1uzfe swap?

    "refressing" a used 1uz...

Only in a Toyota do you get advice to not even look at it. :) Sure is nice to not have the hassle if I don't need too. How much of a pain is it to pull the intake to look at the starter or should I wait until I actually need to on that as well. I will still be doing the water pump and cam...

    injected LPG (again)

Is the ECU able to automatically control the timing so that it is optimum for the LPG. The one thing that I hate about dual fuel is that the LPG generally has to run at the pump gas timing which is not as efficient and you lose power. The price sounds better then most. Some dual fuel setups...

    "refressing" a used 1uz...

yah I was assuming the water pump and timing belt kind of stuff. I was more thinking along the line of an engine that I can't see running first. What is a good compression for this engine? Is there anything I can do to tell the general health of an engine other then a simple compression/leak...
