Peewee is correct, the Camry V6 manual trans is the same as an MR2 turbo trans... The Camry is packaged for FWD use, and is completely different than the V8...

    1uz-fe trimming

Hello, Even if you can get enough taken off the front of the engine, how are you going to mate it to a Toyota FWD transmision? You could make an adaptor plate, but that still does not solve the next problem.... do you have room to pass the passenger side axle past the V8 engine? The...

    Please help me :(

I sais it once before, you need to get the wiring diagrams and fully understand the speed control circuit.... If after that you still do not fully understand the circuit, how it operates, and how to diagnose it, you should give up and take the car to a profesional.... That said, I think...

    Please help me :(

Why don't you completely diagnose the problem before blindly replacing components like the ECU etc? Start by getting the relevant electrical diagrams to fully understand the fuel pump control circuit..... Why not check the fuel pressure at the rail to see if you are having a low fuel...

Twin Turbo Supra 5 Speed Transmission on Ebay

The R154 is a great box, I just think it has an oiling issue..... I would like to see it have an oil pump in it like an E series box, then you could fire some more lube at the thrust washer... How does a cromoly thrust washer help? The stock cast one is not being "smashed" to death, it...

    1UZ fits in Supra!

Andrew, Make sure that whatever AEM box you get has the right crank/cam trigger system to match your new engine... If an AEM is for a car with a magnetic trigger, it cannot be made to sense an inductive pickup etc.... The hardest part with doing anything off the beaten path with the AEM...

    Wiring Identfication

what about the TEMS actuator wires that go to the motor on top of the shocks? That wire comes from the same harness that the AFM and ignitors are on..... If so, they can be removed from the harness... Carl C

Twin Turbo Supra 5 Speed Transmission on Ebay

Too bad the R154 doesn't hardly handle any power..... we've locked up the thrust washer on 3 of them already..... not enough lube to the thrust washer.... at 430 wheel horsepower, we can make about 6 full passes on the 1/4 mile before it locks up the washer...

    Project Thread Project LS400T

Lex, I am a little bit worried about your packaging of the wastegate. With no flex section in the WG plumbing and very short tubes, I fear that they will crack off in short order. When I am faced with tight packaging and no room for a true flex, I slide two pieces of tube together, one on...

    Twin intercooled M112 Eaton 1UZ-FE

There is a big difference between rising rate-fuel pressure and the unit (SX) that is pictured there....... A rising rate adds fuel pressure in a ratio greater than 1 to 1 as boost increases. This helps add more fuel on budget turbo setups... most are 4 to 1. 1 psi boost adds 4 psi to base...

Exhaust Manifold Flanges: laser cut 3/8 stainless......

Bubs, The gasket that was on it looks just like every other Toyota multi-layer steel manifold gasket I have ever seen..... just like a 3s, 5s, 3mz, 1mz, etc. The engine I have is from a Crown, is the LS400 different or something? Carl C

    Calling all Crown-engines!

OK, So on the back of the intake manifold, there is a very large banjo fitting for the brake booster, and there is a really small vacume nipple. What is the rear vacume nipple for? Maybe vacume feed for the climate control? PS, I am looking for a Crown ECT computer.... Thanks! Carlc

    Calling all Crown-engines!

Ah, OK! Won't be needing that..... Did it terminate after the PS pump to a nipple in the bellows between the TB and the AFM? I do not have the bellows, so I am not sure what nipples it had in it besides the main connection to the idle speed motor... Thanks! Carl C

    Calling all Crown-engines!

Ah! You guys are correct once again! the middle 4 pin is for the low pressure switch on the bottom of the AC compressor and the dump valve on the back.... Here is another question, not wiring related..... On the "front" of the intake manifold, there are 2 little vacume nipples...

    Calling all Crown-engines!

Thanks Guts and OZvenon..... The wire I was wondering about is indeed for the TEMS (shock servo control) system..... there is another group of wires on the AC compressor side with the same color code.... they can be removed from the harness. As long as we are playing the...

    Calling all Crown-engines!

The wires for the throttle position and traction control are in a completely different place, this is coming out of the extension that serves the AFM and ignitors.... The alternator connector would have 3 wires, this is 4 wires.... Anybody out there have a crown engine running in...
