Thanks for the info re leaky caps. I don't think that that is my problem however. I still dont know where the AFM is so that I can check it out. I am getting the idea that it is not all that wise to clean the AFM. Is there such a thing as an aftermarket AFM for the V8 soarer?

Where is the main engine management ECU. It seems that there is no power coming from it to the fuel pump ecu. Does it send a signal to the fuel pump ecu? What does no signal or power from the main ecu indicate? There is a red and green wire to pin 22 and the pink wire to pin 21 on the FP ecu...

To pull out the tps on the celsior as described in the above link sounds very complicated. It seems a lot simpler on the soiarer i think. is it is a matter of undoing the nut that is in the centre of the unit once the cover has been removed and pulling it out or is there more to it than that...
