Thanks Quarter..... If the trans was a A340E from an earlier LS400, yes it would do totally doable with standard parts... but it's from a later VVTi LS400, and has the A650e 5 speed auto. -I'll need a controler (suprastick) -1UZ-> A340 Bell housing and probably the front cover that goes...

To my knowledge the VVTi ECU won't control the 4 speed, you would be far better off fitting the 5 speed that goes with it. (I have this problem in reverse, my 4x4 system will cost a small fortune to mount to the 5 speed, so I need to use the existing 4 speed and an aftermarked transmission...
