How do u claim that bmw's v8 is just ok ?? i know 1uz is superior but bmw v8 is no less than an engineer's wet dream also. You can reprogram the ecu or use an aftermarket ecu maybe, but you are better off like the way it is. Mine does the same thing in cold. Its the warm up mode and i believe its programed like that for number of good reasons. Pretty much all the sensibly designed drive trains act similarly in cold...
