Since you have an R154, the answer to your hydraulic throwout set up is Jeep, Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky, Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon. Jeep is probably cheaper. Get a good used front bearing cover from an 87-94 Jeep Wrangler AX15 and get the hydraulic throwout bearing to match from NAPA...

Do the 1UZ-FE, 2UZ-FE and 3UZ-FE all have the same bolt pattern on the back of the block. Are bellhousings from one to the other interchangeable? Greg (Newbie)

The problem with the early Northstars was blowing headgaskets caused by head bolts pulling out of the block. There is a kit to repair the threads. Of course, Northstars can be had pretty cheaply because of this problem. You can get a 100K mile motor for little coin with this trouble and fix...
