This only works on pre obd2 cars as I once did this in my 97 sc400and it would barely stay running and threw codes.

Where is the plug for the right side? It's not in the same spot as the left side.

I unplugged the driver (left) side and it did the same exact thing and threw the same code :(

Code p0340 which just says cam sensor but now that could be one of 2 sensors ? Sometimes the car will break up in the higher rpm range but few and far between and car has a fresh tune up on it as well.

Bummer:( so how do I diagnose which one is throwing the code for a cam sensor? I am about to do my t-belt and wanted to fix it but that adds some more cost. My sensor only throws a code (97 sc400) at idle or cold start but I can drive hundreds of miles without it coming back so is there...

Jza80 6 speed is the larger 12 bold and the rest of the jza80 cars are 10 bolt so n/a tt auto cars have the lsd you are looking for which is a common swap also jzz30 soarer cars can have them as well.
