Hey all,
Im going to wire in our old dualsport EMS for the 1UZFE which only has 4 injector outputs so it'll be batch fired in pairs.
Could anyone tell me the cylinders to batch to save me pulling the spark plugs out.
cheers!
Im about to do the same thing, IE fire an import engine for the first time.
I'll be changing:
Spark plugs (and go 1 colder as its going to spend alot of time on redline)
Cam belt
Timing belt (also minus air con)
Oil and filter
and check and replace if necessary:
water pump
idlers

Thanks but we're sorted. Ive got a bosch 200 dual that we used on our 20v, evidently it will quite happily run the the coils. Best thing is, its already mounted with a spare right next to it!
Thanks anyway guys.

hahaha!!!! They are exactly the same looking item that we use as fresh air pumpers in offroad!
Granted the do move alot of air, but not when you're talking about pumping air through an eninge! its probably a reeeeally good way of restricting your intake!
haha! sorry! correct, supposed to have read at least every 1000rpm!
In the racecar if we drop below this point (ie 60psi at 6K) its time to bail out and check the sump, lines etc. Mind you, we'll keep racing as long as its got > about 40psi! haha!
Hey all,
When we got the motor all the externals were stripped by a mate and Ive searched high an low in the garage looking for them on the weekend... then a thought occcured to me...

If so, anyone know where...

Funny though, I miswired the ECU power by putting the ECU fuse to the wrong side of the isolator switch! Oh. Damn. Whats that wire doing there. :)

I actually wasnt going to bother with the thermostat - as its a race motor it sits on the grid warming up for ages before it gets peaked, caned and its neck wrung for the next 2 hours.
Would the thermostat be needed in my app?
David, cheers for the pics - my hetro life partner that I own the...
Ive searched the site and found that pretty much all of the brackets position the oil filter a long way from the block which makes it pretty prone to rocks. So were gonna do david's trick: Make our own plate, tap it and run an external oil filter and probably a cooler as well.
Next question...
Hey all,
We're finally dropping the engine in the racecar (trans has finally arrived!) and have come across instant issue which Im hoping everyone on here says "oh thats and easy fix!"....
The oil filter adaptor hangs the oil filter quite low and it fouls on the skidplate. Anyone know of an...
