    oil pressure to high

That is crazy high. When driving down the road at slow speed, mu oil pressure is 80 psi. At 1000 rpm it is at 70psi. I have noticed that the oil pressure is directly related to engine RPM (this makes sense since the oil pump is connected to teh engine) but the oil pressure relief valve shoudl...

    oil pressure to high

ok, but where is the oil pressure relief valve located on the 1UZFE. Is it near the oil filter on the block somewhere or what? Is it easy to get to and replace or is it a pain in the butt? Thanks, Adam

    oil pressure to high

I am having the exact same problem. It gets to about 80-85 psi at 3000-4000rpm. I woudl hate to see how high it gets near 7000 rpm. If anyone knows where the oil relife valve is that woudl be very helpful for me too. Thanks, Adam

    Turbo Gains on 1UZ-FE!

R-Jay, you are right, if I went with turbos I could get rid of the headers that are currently there and get more space. This is definietly a consideration. But I already spent a good amount of money on getting these custom headers and exhaust made and ceramic coated so my first instinct would...

    Turbo Gains on 1UZ-FE!

Lex, there isn't a turbo but the air filter in that picture could make it look like it is hiding something. If I put a turbo there I think it would be very hard to plumb the exhaust pipes up there. When the engine is in the car there are a lot of chassis bars that would be in its way. The...

    Turbo Gains on 1UZ-FE!

Wow, I have a turbo in there. jk No I actually don't have any forced induction. I was looking into it for the future but it is not something that is going to be put on anytime soon as it is expensive. I was tossing around the idea between a supercharger or turbos. I think if I were going to...

    Turbo Gains on 1UZ-FE!

Well from what I understand (maybe someone else in ere would know better) the only way to get equal length headers at the right length was to have them circle around like that. I'm not sure what the desired length is but I do know that there is no other way to fit them in the engine bay. As...

    Turbo Gains on 1UZ-FE!

Hey guys, I am still here. I got my car back about 3-4 weeks ago. I have been commuting from FL to CA (about 5000 miles round trip) every Monday-Thursday with my computer job and working on a new album with my music job, so needless to say I haven't had much time to play with the car. The...

    1UZ-FE Kit Car!

Hey Bede, Its good to hear from another Saker Owner. I remember your car being finished right before mine was completed. The yellow color with the black wheels looks awesome. Do you have any pictures of it posted somewhere? Have you been racing it against Bruce and/or Alan. I saw a short...

    1UZ-FE Kit Car!

I figured since this kit was started based on the Saker SVS (or older SV1 model) I thought you guys would enjoy this. I have the first and only road car in the US. There are only about 19 road cars in the world. (www.adamstyles.com/car.htm) I prefer not to call it a kit car as it does use a...

    Modification of 1UZFE before FI

On a turbo setup. Is it better to have the throttle body before or after the turbo? Whats the difference?

    Modification of 1UZFE before FI

Not to ask a stupid question, but what is a PVC? I don't recall hearing that acronym before. Thanks? On my car I don't have power steering so that won't need to be done. The first step shoudl be easy to do. I just need to find out what the second step is.

    Turbo Gains on 1UZ-FE!

yeah I didn't know it was that cheap. Hell, if I knew it was that cheap I would have done it as soon as I got the car. I will do it as soon as I get the car back from the US factory, which should hopefully be by the end of the year. Thanks!

    Turbo Gains on 1UZ-FE!

Ok, Let me see how much something like that costs locally and I will try to get it done. I have two projects for this car once I get it back and that is the turbo system and a paddle shift system. I'm not sure which I will do first. They will both cost me about the same. I also would like to...

    Turbo Gains on 1UZ-FE!

well that would explain all of the NZ and Australian people on this forum. I definietly agree that using a software program to determine an engines power is not the best way of doing things. The only way to tell is to get this thing dynoed. What ddoes a dyno session usually cost if you are...

    Turbo Gains on 1UZ-FE!

That is a good question. I think the cam timing degree change is based on what the builder experienced. I was told the builder "discovered" (Please don't take this word out of context) this power increase after my engine was built. He might have accidentally tried a different cam timing on...

    Fuel System with Turbo?

If you turbo the 1UZ-FE and get about 500hp at the crank (about 8psi with my current engine) I would obviously have to get larger injectors 440-460cc (that should support about 550hp) and I would have to get a better fuel pump to handle the increased fuel loads. Is there anything else I need...

    Turbo Gains on 1UZ-FE!

Honestly I don't know who the engine builder is. He is located in New Zealand and he apparently has built several 1UZ-FE engines for Saker Cars. If anyone is from that area and knows of a 1UZ-FE engine builder out there then it may be him.

    Turbo Gains on 1UZ-FE!

ALso, I know JBrady was doubting the torque output of my engine and all of my thoughts were based on hp. I did state that in the reply but I just wanted to make sure that nobody got upset over this comparison. I don't know much about torque and the math behind it, all I have is the experiences...

    Turbo Gains on 1UZ-FE!

Well thanks for the reply and the info. With that info about my cams I will probably most definitely do this turbo project. An extra 100rwhp (117hp) would be nice. But below is a long explanation of my thoughts, very long but interesting. Also thanks for the concern about what my engine...
