    Hard Steering

    If the pump was rebuilt correctly and everything inside was ok, try looking at the vacuum switching valve mounted on the pump. Make sure the vac hoses are connected correctly. Power steering fluid in the vac lines also indicates a faulty valve.

    Start with crown front cut, add in a castlemain rod shop sump and engine mount adaptors proberbly the easiest way to go.

    I used a universal one made by redline on my crown air flow meter, had to drill the mounting holes and it only just fitted. I think it cost around $20, I got mine from american autos but I think most auto shops get that brand of products.

    With the engine cold undo the bleed plug (as described above) and check that it is full of water/coolant. If not fill up system from this point refit bleed plug and take vehicle for a drive with the heater on for a good ten minutes, then let the vehicle completely cool down (o'night) and...

    Check that you don't have an air lock in the cooling system at the idle speed control valve (17mm bolt on top of engine near thermostat if air bleed/filling point) if this is still a problem can't hurt to take idle speed control valve out carefully disassemble and clean.

    Installation not replacement, sorry I don't have any sound recorded but it does sound pretty good. Could have gone 3" mandrel for $150 extra but with crown exhaust manifolds and standard computer did not realy see the benefit.

    Start with the basics, good clean auto fluid [genuine toyota type 4] at the correct level, kick down cable correctly adjusted [about 1mm of metal cable crimp exposed] and go from there, but as for the shaking, that sounds like something is realy wrong.

    Does any one know where you can by the panel to fit under the tailgate of a RN90 hilux to make a roll pan tray? I have been told that a company in brisbane makes them but I have been unable to find them, or am I going to have to fabricate it myself?

    If you have to mount your fans in front of the radiator make sure you check with the supplier that the fan is capable of being converted from pull to push. The fans that I used are not and had to be ordered as pushers, but still work fine.I have no engine driven fan and only 2 small push fans...

    Coolant and Radiator

    Don't forget to fill the engine with coolant not just the radiator. The coolant filling point for the engine is the 17mm bolt on top of the thermostat housing and will require a new aluminium washer to seal.
