Would anyone like engine weights and measures (make a request)

What year 1uz? I'm curious to see how well balanced the rotating assemblies are from the factory, some data on the weight fluctuations between the rods/pistons could be some good evidence of the kind of QC these engines really go through.

you may want to reconsider the position of that air filter, you've got a WAI setup as is.

Can the car run with no battery?

the exact same thing happened on my '02 Taurus. Wouldn't jump, replaced the battery and it ran for 20 miles before it died. I took the new battery to Advance to have it charged so I could drive it back there on battery. Everything tested fine, it started on the second crank every time for the...

    =crankshaft Modifications=

the more I read the more i'm convinced that a (relatively) lightweight rotating assembly would be an awesome build for high-revving N/A power. not necessarily a super-high ceiling, but think of the throttle response.

    cam pulley alignment

    75lb seats

find a junker or part-out car that has "classy" enough slider seats for your liking (benz or volvo with leather?), tear out your old power seats and weld the tracks for the new ones to the frame. pretty straightforward, at least theoretically. Going from electrical->mechanical should be a...

    cam pulley alignment

I'm 3/4 of the way through my timing belt/water pump change. the water pump and and thermostat housing are reinstalled, but while I was trying to get the timing belt back on I encountered a challenge: before I removed the old timing belt I set it to TDC, with the L and R cam pulleys at 11 and 1...

    finding crank TDC

From what I've read, the crank makes two full revolutions from TDC to TDC, does this still apply when the timing belt is not present and the cam pulleys are stationary? I tried to use the starter to break loose the crank pulley bolt but my tool broke and the crank spun freely, can I just set it...

    V12 from uzfe

if you're going to go nuts with two 1uz's why not rig up an FWD transmission on the front toss one in the trunk and have true 4WD.
