1UZ no idle, running very rich + missfire

Well.... I spoke a little too soon. When chasing down the misfire some bizarre things started to happen. As it was misfiring I stopped it, when to go get some gas because I thought maybe the tank was low I get back. After filling it up suddenly no spark.... hmmmm nothing has changed since...

1UZ no idle, running very rich + missfire

ITS FIXED!!!! :D I replaced the injectors, charged the battery and VROOM Truck now fires right up like its supposed to, though it pops for a little but, likely from running extremely extremely rich beforehand. Im assuming the plugs are probably extremely sooted so I will clean them up and...

1UZ no idle, running very rich + missfire

Hey there and thanks again for your advice, Coils are brand new, all leads are brand new and in the correct firing order, coil to cap all test good. The breather setup is the one directly from the valve cover I believe? if so I have also seen that be an issue but it is directly routed and hose...

1UZ no idle, running very rich + missfire

Hey there extractors, I did indeed and they seem fine no noise no issues and there is zero change between it being kinked or tested fully opened. I did get it to display codes as I was looking at the wrong pin, I only got EGR, Sub o2's and a FP control fault (externally powered for now) which...

    Codes 21 and 28

Have you cleared your codes by disconnecting the battery or pulling the main fuse and seeing if they return? A lot of the times the ECU does need to adapt to the running conditions and may take a few days to relearn it.

1UZ no idle, running very rich + missfire

Hello all, I have a 1st gen 1uz I rebuilt that I recently swapped into my 1992 Toyota pickup and I am having some issues now keeping the engine running and not holding an idle. I have purchased wiring instructions from gloverman and wired it up properly and for the time being have the engine...

1UZ to R150 Clutch setup configuration question

Hey Zuffen, Just for some follow up, English seems to be a bit rough for them but I ended up receiving this reply. I’m almost positive now they are implying the dowel pin is placed in the bearing then the transmission is bolted up. Again thanks for your suggestions! Sam

1UZ to R150 Clutch setup configuration question

Hey Zuffen I appreciate the reply, Sadly not a lick of instructions. The kit as on oem asin oversees kit (for a Land Cruiser application I think?) which when I googled either of the part numbers no real information comes up. The only information I can find for the kit that describes placing...

1UZ to R150 Clutch setup configuration question

Hello Everyone, I am currently the process of swapping a 1UZ into my '92 pickup to take the place of my 3VZ. My pickup is equipped with the R150F which will be used with the swap, I purchased the kit including the clutch, flywheel and bellhousing from KS Racing. I am only stumped on one tiny...

    1uz dumping fuel from headers

Hey guys, just wanted to report back that it was indeed a bad injector! let the gas dry off overnight, pulled all the plugs when I let it crank and sure enough cylinder 8 was filled quarter of the way up with gas! I let it dry out, put everything back in, turned on the fuel pump and away she...

    1uz dumping fuel from headers

Hey Ivan, Thanks for your comment, I somehow lost all of my plug sockets but I will be grabbing one checking that later this afternoon. I did pull the regulator and check the actual rail itself. I tested both rails with the injectors and each one having the regulator/dampener installed but I...

    1uz dumping fuel from headers

It is 100% not condensation sadly, and did throw a fireball before I gave up yesterday, There is some sign of it definitely having some combustion on that bank (including the fact it ignited the gas Lol) so my current leading theory is that either the billet rail off an ls400 that was sitting...

    1uz dumping fuel from headers

Hello, I had my (kind of) first start today of my 1994 1uz I am building for a swap. Today I did my first test start, Everything wired up and was cranking correctly with the proper amount of voltage and fuel flowing from the external tank and back into with fuel pressure regulator screw popping...

Unfortunately I am in the US, but I am more then willing to pay the shipping to get it sent over at this point. A seemingly minor part is oddly super hard to track down here in the states. that and 2 camshaft blank/cap covers bolts I have been hunting for a month and cannot find anywhere...

Wanted 1UZ Spark Plug Wire comb/bracket needed!

Hello! I am in desperate search of a right side spark plug comb/holder for my 1uz. I was able to get a plug loom with all the parts except for the wire holder near the cam pulley which without causes the plug wires to lay on the cam pulley and cause issues. I would be more then happy to buy...

Wanted WTB Cylinder head plate left + right!

Hello! In desperate need of the Cylinder head plates that are behind the cam pulley's, they are seemingly very hard to find and no junkyards want to sell them without selling the entire head. I was wondering if anyone had a few laying around I definitely would be willing to buy them off ya. A...

    LS/SC 400 Fan Bracket Pulley

Happen to have a part number to any by chance for any of the major shops? It definitely looks like some doorman parts would work but I was not sure on the size and if I punch in the specific vehicle none are listed as fitting, greatly appreciated if possible Thanks Again, Sam
