I had it die before, and it was just the fuses above the parking break. if it's not there, then it would have to be a wiring fault. I'd say maybe pigy-back it off of the second cigarette lighter -- again though I'm an amateur, take what i say with a grain of salt.

How old is your battery? I'm not a pro at this here, but i found that a bad battery made my car refuse to rev high... (could just be a coincidence though) if you're using regular gas too, that could cause an issue these are just things that i've noticed to cause problems with it

I've had this problem myself, twice, with two different problems. 1) If it is leaking then check your alternator as it could kill the alt 2) if it is a new one, make sure that the connection to the hose is properly stripped and has a full seal

Okay, i fully charged the battery and, as you said, i drove it around, and it starts perfectly and drives like a dream.

The battery had gone dead and it's indeed dead. I have a working battery now, and the car starts perfectly every time, BUT, i am having problems keeping my idle. the car can be driven and works perfectly as long as i keep my foot on the throttle, however the second i take it off, it stalls...

really there's not THAT much of a difference idleing and driving at a slow cruise... nothing should have happened there... the octane rating could easily have been too low in that gas, or something like that.

the crap on your radio is im betting the anti theft system. you should have a code that you type in (numericly) to fix that (or that's what happened with me in a BMW, so i can only imagine this is the same)

The trac system may go off of your alt is putting out less power then normal. and yeah as said above black smoke means an incomplete burn wich is why you're using up so much fuel.

I also changed the battery as the old one was starting to die (rated at 850CCA and was only giving 500 now)
