Since you have to grind the crank down, why don't you offset grind it? That way it will make the difference up from the rods and you can use the pistons from the group buy.

Just to add some more dyno info. Don't know if it will help. I have an 82 Supra with a 92 LS400 1UZ. It is all stock including ECU except Custom 4-1 headers and exhaust. Exhaust is similar to Peewee with a dual 2-1/2" into dual 2-1/2" cats Y into single 3" into Magnaflow with dual 2-1/2"...

ozzie-001.jpg looks like where the EGR pipe from the exhaust manifold connects to the intake manifold It looks like from the other pic that you are not running an EGR so don't worry about it.

Personally I have two Carsound(Magnaflow) universal 2-1/2" cats #94106 $55.57 ea. www.hottexhaust.com They have both the regular and stainless versions.
