General concerns when contemplating forced induction

There is 8 cylinders to bear the cylinder pressure. In case of the 2jz, once the motor is prepped for big boost and enough power is made to break things you will see cylinder liners crack between 3 and 4. With good 1/2" head studs the head won't lift at 60psi. Top fuel dragsters run aluminum...

    1UZFE Block with 2UZFE Heads

Another thing to consider is the shape of the piston and the head. By using vvt head on a non vvt piston you have a great chance of rendering the quench area useless. Making the motor less efficient and less tolerent to detonation. Also toyota has been moving the ring lands closer to the...

    1UZFE Vs. 2UZFE Bucket

Shim under bucket conversion on early vv-t heads was mainly for lighter valvetrain according to Toyota. The later vv-t heads use buckets with built in shims. There was no incident to my knowledge that a shim in a bucket ever ejected.

    1UZFE Block with 2UZFE Heads

The V angle (head angle) did not change, the intake port angle was altered to have a straighter path to the combustion chamber. All VV-T heads use the same diameter valves.

    Parallel or Series Fuel Lines

I think you are overdoing the lines. Your proposed setup will flow to 1500 horsepower. For you i would do 2 6an feeds into each rail. Both rails should outlet into the fuel pressure regulator and will flow enough fuel for over 1000 horsepower.

How Many Hp Can Stand Auto Tranny For Drag Purpose?

More if you pick up a Stage 2 A340e from Supercar Tuning Center. I hear they use a bigger 2nd gear sprag to replace the stock unit which happens to be it's weakest link.

    Heat Treatment

Cryo treatment affects the entire metal structure. Sometimes it's used in combination with heat treatment. Check out http://www.metal-wear.com/index.htm I had them do my stock pistons and connecting rods. They are located in Antioch, IL. They have a pretty good turn around time too...

    395hp, 509ft/lb 4.7L Turbo Tundra

HKS does not use SS Autochrome! There is a definte difference in quality. SS Autochrome parts are mig welded first and then they tig over it for looks. The real difference is on the inside.

Can an e-manage control the Auto Tranny?

The A340E does not make a good tranny for a drag car unless you're making no more than 500hp. EMS EMS can control the stock trans. There are also standalone trans computers that will do the job.

    Heat Treatment

I was under the assumption that nitriding only makes the surface harder while heat/cold treatment affects the entire metal structure. Cryo treating the heads may be a better idea if you are looking to spend some more money on your motor.
