If this method gets you started, then it might be the starter relay that needs to be replaced... If not, then the starter might be trash like you stated, but if you can exchange the battery via free99, then at least you can buy yourself another 3 years of battery life...

At this point not a bad idea getting the ECU rebuilt.... I'm running rough as well and consuming more fuel than Robocop's SUX3000... My idle is shifty when its cold, so maybe something to do with cold start, or my ECU going out as well.....

Resolved the hyper idle issue... now troubleshooting an intermittent low idle and hard start with no idle... my guess its the IAC or ISC, got the bearings and will rebuild and clean accordingly...

Dayum... I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but you probably will have to trace all your coolant lines down to the heater core... They may have pried these hoses off and damaged them in the process... If its leaking all over, this would be my best guess, inspect and replace some...

I would agree with Zuffen ^^^ I would pull both Trans and engine as a unit and separate them on the floor instead of struggling with the hoist, limited room and the engine refusing to line up with the transmission...
