Just FYI only certain battery conditioners/tenders work on Optimas. If you use a Battery Tender brand then the plates will crystallize which screws them up quick. : \

Wow that's the worst I've ever seen in these engines. That's insane. You know they changed the oil like one time. There is no way you would even get that buildup changing the oil at 15K intervals.

Notice how the gears on both ends are black because they have oil on them? And the gears near the middle of both shafts are lighter in color (no oil). :D I let the transmission fall over on it's side when I was doing my swap and I didn't think that much oil drained out of the shifter hole. Well...
