Well modified the return line but it is still running very rich. The fuel pump i am running pumps about 30 psi more than stock but would have thought the regulator would still reduce to normal pressure. I will check pressure tommorow and also double check the return line pressure as it is only...

Well finally got another motor. Only took 2 weeks to get it from Melb to Adel. Spent the last few days swapping the engines and the loom. As soon as the fuel was up turned the key and fired straight away and sat there and idled:banana:   . It was running very rich but i sussed...

Well i think i might have narrowed the problem down to the fact that the motor is f@#$%D. I decided to pull the plugs and did a comp test. Well the two l/h rear cylinders didm't even flicker the needle on the comp gauge all the others were between 220 & 240psi. I took the rocker cover off and...

If the igniters were bad why would it run while cranking. I hooked up a test light to one of the injector plugs and it has a signal while cranking and as soon as i let go the key the signal seems to drop off. There is a twin wire plug at the front of the engine with a single black / orange wire...

Thanks for the response guys. Sideshow i will wire in a safety switch that i use for gas conversions tommorow and that should solve that problem. I've done some more tests since posting this question earlier today and yes i have power at the injectors all the time but only seems to get a trigger...

G'day all, i have finished all the wiring and test fired it today. BUT. If i spray fuel into the intake it runs and stops as soon as it has burned up so obviuosly the injectors aren't supplying fuel. Also the fuel pump isnt working through the ecu so i powered it direct to get the fuel up so i...

Thanks for that. I found some info to do the job the only other question is. Is the fuel pump feed that comes out of the ECU a tachometric signal (cranking signal) or is it on all the time in which case i should fit a safety sw:pat: :pat: :pat:

I had an issue with the motor i bought (water in 2 middle cyl r/h side) so motor was replaced but the ecu that came with this one is different to the other as there are 2 plugs on this compared to 4 for the other one (one large with a bolt and one small). Can anyone direct me to drawings or...

Spent a little bit of time yesterday and sorted a few wires out. One question i have is does the Celsior have idiot lights in the dash to tell you what gear you are in. I think by what i have sorted so far that this is the case but just thought i would ask the question just in case.

    LPG misfire help

Try closing the plug gaps and see if this fixes the problem. If it does Then get yourself a good coil and ign setup and then open up the gaps again. A lot of factory setups can't handle the gas spark requiements properly so gaps have to be closed to compensate.

No i don't have the 4th plug. I assumed that it was for the traction control.

    New to jap V8's

Thanks sideshow. i guess i'll just have to sit there with a multimeter and an esky and work it out. The hydraulic fan i machined out the back of the housing where the needle bearing goes and fitted another sealed roller bearing same as the front so oil will not be needed. Thanks again

Thanks for the responses fellas. Now i have another wiring question. I have the 3 plugs that plug into the ECU ( fairly straight forward) then there are 3 other plugs 12, 14, 16 pin that either plugged into the relay or fuse box or the dash. One of them most of the wires go to the trans with 2...

    Holden FE Engine Mounts

G'day FE ute, what i have done in the 37 chev is counterbored the v8 engine mounts to take universal type round mounts and then just made a couple of steel mounts to weld to the chassis. I actually swapped the alloy mounts that are bolted to the engine left to right to put the mounts a little...

Thanks for the info. When you say after the a/f meter is that between the a/f/m and the throttle body or between the afm and the air box. I have never seen under the bonnet of one of these cars and the engine came as engine/ trans/loom & ecu so have to figure out where everything is supposed to...

    New to jap V8's

G'day all, i'm new to these new fandangled engines so will probably ask lots of questions:wtf: First question. I was looking at the engine and trying to work out what i can remove as it's in a 37 Chev that i am building so only want the minimun stuff on there. I reckon i can remove the second...
