skid: If you want flames out your tail pipe, use a "flamer kit". Look for it to turbo cars ( Cosworth's ).

chocolatelustboy: I think your biggest hurdle will be the lenght of the 1UZFE compared to the VW V8. If you want an easy swap use the engine,the 4WD gearbox and the front suspention from an Audi A6/A8, they should mate up with the VW Passat body.

And a picture of it too. I know it looks weird, but there is an idea behind the madness. The lower centre holes are the ones steering it against the head, the other holes are bigger ( and wider ) to allow for expansion. Getting the exhaust bolts sheared off is not fun.

Here is a Autocad drawing of the 1UZFE exhaust flange ( Autocad 2000 format ). I suck at Autocad I prefer SolidWorks.

I had a look at it with an idea to integrate it into one of my projects but the width between the driveshafts is just to wide, there is no way I can get it to fit. Sigh, to bad....

Don't worry about it, if I go to Germany to get it MOT'ed I'd probably go by the Nurburgring circuit on the way back.

The FAT intake manifold and the Bullet cast intake manifoilds are the same. Bullet also have a second manifold, this is the one they used on the bullet car. I was in touch with them a while back and here is part of the e-mail: "We would be able to send you a low manifold...

Lextreme: Depending on the power level you are aiming for with the 1UZFE, I'd go for a C6 instead of the C4. And add a Gear Vendos overdrive....

Yup, prØn. It looks to be a ZF gearbox, probably a G50 from a Porche.

Honestly, I have seen one of the Nissan Vk45 engines stripped after a main bearing failure and I can't say I was to impressed. Of course it's solid but the engineering is nowhere near as neat as the Toyota UZ's. When it comes to physical size the Nissan is not in the same...
