I am a Lextremely happy member these days. Being so far away in Thailand it is hard to come by 1UZ parts. Sure I have gotten specialty things from Bullet, Rush, Injector Perfector and Dellow for some of the stuff I needed but the bulk of what I now have in my hands for my current engine build...

I wont know for sure until I look at the 1UZ block but it appears like if the return passage cribbj indicates is not plugged, it will flow water out of the engine when installed on the 1UZ. The port does not mate up to anything.

cribbj, I am holding a new water pump in my hand that arrived today for my 1UZ. It is the 12 blade impeller that you depict for the 2UZ. Looks like more flow with the 12 blades. I notice you state the return port must be plugged, what is the purpose on this flow on the 2UZ block?

cribbj, I am researching every source I can find on MRE's, just to get up to speed. It sounds like a really great upgrade. I think for me it would be best to get my engine done, up and running before trying the MRE's. One less thing to blame, if you know what I mean. I have the SM3 Autronics ECU...

Any updates from anybody that has done this? I am considering this upgrade on a 1UZ turbo engine build. Seems like a prudent thing to do if the block is being bored anyway.

Big, My truck is 2WD with IFS and struts. The clutch is a one ton from Dellow. Sorry to say, my project has had so many twists and turns the engine build is just now starting. My rebuild parts have been shipped from Lextreme and due in this week. It is the R151R tranny with 295 R45 20 tires.

Zuffen, Great news for you. I can relate to your comment about how things change when doing a build like this. I changed my mind from supercharger to twin turbos with my project. Lucky thing for Lex, I will send him an early Christmas present this year. I had already bought the Rush extractors...
