    '95 Lexus SC400 Drift Build

Well it's a 1995 model, but the build date is 1/'94... So I'm hoping I get the thicker rods and the bumped compression :)

    Calculating 1/2UZ Compression Ratio

I'm wondering if just using a thicker headgasket may work if using the 2UZ crank with 1UZ heads. Compression may be the same 9.6:1 or higher using the 43cc 1UZ heads with .02 thicker 2UZ head gasket. Hmmmm...

    Calculating 1/2UZ Compression Ratio

That is calculating for the 1UZ crank shaft? Either way, 8.0:1 is still way too low :/ Thanks, Andrew

    '95 Lexus SC400 Drift Build

This is genuinely what I would like to do. I started a thread in the engine build section about calculating compression ratio and also one about the 1.2UZ swap in general. It seems that custom pistons are the ONLY solution for keeping a close to stock compression ratio(10-10.5:1) with the 2UZ...

I apologize! My FS thread on CL got closed, so I forgot :/ Shoot me a PM!!!

    '95 Lexus SC400 Drift Build

Bought this car about a month or so ago from someone on a local Houston club website. Car has 272k on the clock and runs great, but the auto trans slips terribly. After finishing parting out my LS1 FC RX7(never finished), getting through the holidays, and working some overtime I'm finally ready...

    Calculating 1/2UZ Compression Ratio

I guess that isn't too far off if the factory 2UZ compression is 9.6:1 and you add cylinder volume by de-stroking it...hmmmm... Any suggestions/comments/opinions? Thanks, Andrew

    Calculating 1/2UZ Compression Ratio

Cyl. Volume = 35.575ci Clearance Volume = 1.4719626ci Piston Dome = 1.7696873ci Head Gasket Volume = .0548357ci Chamber Volume = 2.6240191ci Went with standard bore and compressed gasket thickness for the head gasket volume(3.7" and .051"). IF all these numbers are correct...

    Calculating 1/2UZ Compression Ratio

Since the 2UZ piston goes past the deck stock(I believe -.05" at the 3.31" stroke), where will the piston be at TDC with the 3.25" stroke? .01"?! If so, you really wouldn't need to get custom pistons when you go NA 1/2UZFE! Clearance volume would be

    Calculating 1/2UZ Compression Ratio

So far, some specs I've found are... 1UZ Head Chamber - 43cc 1UZ Crank Stroke - 3.25" 2UZ Bore - 3.7" 2UZ Piston Dome - 29cc Chime in and verify these finds if you know! Thanks, Andrew

    Calculating 1/2UZ Compression Ratio

I've been trying to figure out what the compression ratio of a 2UZFE with 1UZFE heads would be after de-stroking with a 1UZFE crank. Seeing that the 2UZ go past the deck at TDC, the 1.5mm difference in the 1UZ crank stroke should make that irrelevant. So, I need some help filling in the...

    NA Drift 1/2UZFE build :)

Well FINE! haha Hopefully, I will be starting to gut the car out and pull the original engine/trans in a week or two. Will definitely have pictures and write-ups soon.

    NA Drift 1/2UZFE build :)

The reason I'm asking these questions, is that there is another driver in the Lone Star Drift Series here that has an '86 Corolla with a 1UZ swap. With intake(MAF delete), custom headers/exhaust, and SM4 ecu he only put down 230/247 to the wheels. Now in his 2300lb car, it rips! But in my...

    NA Drift 1/2UZFE build :)

That is kind of my point for going 2UZ. 2UZ bottom+LEX mounts=$800 ITBs+Cams=$2,500 NOW, if you think the 1UZ can do 300rwhp with EMS, intake, headers, and exhaust. I'd much rather do that and save the weight. Either way the heads will get LEX valve springs and Cometic head gaskets, and the...

    NA Drift 1/2UZFE build :)

That is the entire reason behind my 2UZ idea. ITB's+Cams=$2,500 2UZ bottom with LEX mounts=$800 I'm hoping that the loss of A/C components, PS Pump(going electric), cast headers, MAF, etc. will add up to the weight gain of the iron block(80-90lbs). Not to mention an aluminum radiator...
