Okay, i think i figured part of it out. I pulled the bra off the front of the car, and it runs quite a bit cooler. I doesnt go past 210 on a 105 degree day now, even sitting in traffic.

well, i cant argue because im not sure, but this would be the only vehicle im familiar with in which the thermostat is the inlet. The thermostat is used to regulate engine temp. it open when it gets hot enough to let water flow into the radiator, at least in most vehicles... and if im running...

So i cant figure this car out... I've got a mechanical water temp gauge, mounted in the plug in the thermostat housing. this should be the hottest point in the cooling system. Around town the gauge reads anywhere from 190 - 210 degrees F. At highway speeds, it can reach near or just past...

it cant get too much tighter than a mkiii. there are several points that i think i have rubbing the chassis, causing a vibration at certain rpms. However, at that price, it might be worth trying those headers. is the exhaust port configuration the same?

the only wiring changes required to the engine harness was for the starting and ecu power circuits and both of those are at the end of the harness for the most part. I also changed the oil pressure sensor so that the gauge on the dash would work. i never could get the water temp sensor to work...

Thank you chris, couldnt have done it without your help. You helped me get it fired for the first time, and get it mounted in the car. how're those headers coming? any progress?

the car sounds awesome, and there is still a big list of things to do, including remounting the air cleaner. i'll keep the updates coming as i get stuff done and really finished.

yeah i got the stickers from a kickass website! The wiring was tricky, to the point that im still not done with it. Also, i wish it was a 5 or 6 speed, which i will do later. otherwise, it wasnt too hard. The motor mounts that cjsupra90 made for me were awesome!

A few of you have followed my swap a little bit, and a few have seen it on the street in the week ive been driving it, but for the rest of you, he it is. Its been a slow project, but it feel damn good to be driving it again. The car runs like a champ, though its not as fast as the turbo 6...

thats mine. just need a driveshaft, and i can start putting it on the street to finish workin out the kinks.
