    Lexus racing intake...

Well done Erol! Looks good and didn't realise it was just a standard engine. Was it for mock up of all the extras before you get to grips with the internals. What is interesting is the bhp curve. I know the original cams are for a heavy exec car but they don't run out of puff higher up...

Fire Damage from an Accident? Ideas?

can you check the engine number with lexus and get the vin number confitmed against the licence plate? We can do this in the UK. If you have a difference then take it up with the seller if possible. Judging by the melted plastic it's reached a considerable temperature. M

    where to find individual TB's???

John I'm sorry I'm probably being a total buffoon but I can see your 'busa jpeg but it only shows the 600, and 750/1000 dimensions, the busa is bigger. Have I missed the point that the 'busa 1300 uses the 1000 throttle bodies?

    Lexus racing intake...

I think judging by the look of the engine it's going to be put to some proper use so regular rebuilds will take into account stress related issues.

    getting an engine in europe?

I've tried getting a rear sump but the dealer needed chassis numbers etc (which I haven't got) but indicated it wasn't going to be cheap as it's 2 parts of the sump, the oil pick up tube, dip stick and tube etc. So gave up and thought it was cheaper to get a used rear sump engine, though it is...

Bloody Cheap Engines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, I have some results, but I need quick responses. I can get between 6 or 7 1UZ engines for GBP325 each. This is excluding shipping and is an average price based on the cheapest engines I can get. All are front sump 1UZ, approx 100k miles (160k kms)...

If you look at the Veyron thread it's basically 2 VAG 8 cylinders together with some poetic licence.

    Veyron Engine

errr... no weight is always a performance killer. Ok constant highway average speeds reduces the issue but in the real world there is plenty of stop/starts and that kills the mpg. Also weight is an issue as the haulage industry has plenty of data based around shipping weights etc as a full...

    Crank trigger question

Mine's stripped and on a stand, and if I can find an old protrator I take a measurement. If I can't I'll atleast take a picture. If some one beats me to it, I suggest taking the degree measurement through the centre line of the sensor mount for accuracy.
