New V12 Daily Driver (Ferrari 550 Maranello)

...agree with Justen...why even buy a 10 year old car with only 13k miles ?....you might enter a horrible maintance scenario....looks like the oil is already laying under the car ;).... Why not buy a nice 911 turbo with a decent warranty....?...easy to get some extra hp when needed...

...bummer, Doc ! Rod failure: happen to me the first time aswell....although that was with the UCF20 block ("weak rods")... What's the plan now ?.....just get the same UCF10 block and hope this can take the wanted tune ?... I am sure Lextreme can sent you one for free :D....

True, in stock form (even an unopened) 1UZ UCF10 will show a torque peak around 4500rpm, and rapidly dropping afterwards...this has been proven by dyno sheets many times. In supercharged applications you have a different (more flowing?) manifold design.....so, my guess is that the cams might, in...

pricing ?...i think it will be very hard to have something like this made without have the car in your shop...there are so many details in getting this to work.... For example: even though the guy who did the welding is TOP, there still was a leak when testing the manifold in the car etc.... We...

    ..compared to the old stock LS: 53 mph (86km) = 2000 rpm 80 mph (130km) = 3000 rpm 107 mph (173km) = 4000 rpm 134 mph (216km) = 5000 rpm 161 mph (260km) = 6000 rpm 186 mph (300km) = 7000 rpm plus the extra power now :D

...today we did some initial testing with the newly installed 3.2 Torsen diff in the LS "clock"....corners feel great now and speed reading in REAL mph/km (GPS tested): 62 mph (100km) = 2000 rpm 93 mph (150km) = 3000 rpm 124 mph (200km) = 4000 rpm 155 mph (250km) = 5000 rpm 186 mph (300km) =...

HungryForInfo, yes, I think the new intake made a difference...it opened up the potential of the 1UZ above 4500rpm...the increaes in power in that range is significant. The company that made the plenum really did a good job. To really get big hp numbers you HAVE to do the cams...224 duration &...

Project Thread LS 400 Single Turbo

...this is the same turbo as before (T88-34D, 477 rwhp@ 4500rpm) but with new manifold.... Also the automatic was changed for the Boostlogic with HIGH stall converter, but i dont know how much that would effect the rwhp/torque output numbers... The loss of torque below 4500 rpm is significant...

Project Thread Supercharged 1UZ Bangkok Drag Truck

...well i think Justen and others (including us) proved that 600+ft/lbs can easily be done with the stock manifold and even with the NON-turbo cams that come with the 1UZ (224 duration, 7mm lift)....power delivery UNTIL 4500rpm or so....and dropping afterwards...I must say i didn't like this...

Project Thread LS 400 Single Turbo

Torsen is a must have for this Lexus...remember the deal with Arnout was: we must have 2 spinning wheels instead of just 1 every time we leave your shop, dude ! Besides that i really like it in corners...and the 3.2 diff gears will make this car Autobahn sturmer for sure ...they way this...

Project Thread LS 400 Single Turbo

clock = diff housing, correct and in this case it is the smaller diff housing you find in the LS and NOT the bigger Supra diff housing....and yes, we will test that on the Autobahn....on a dry road that is :D...

Project Thread LS 400 Single Turbo

OK, some more news... Today I tested the new torque converter PLUS newly programmed (correct) shifting points in the AEM...the old shifting points were just a mess.... I must say, now finally the car starts to act normal/predictable on the road...there's full lock at 2800rpm instead of the...
