Hi to everyone! Recentley I found custom exhaust manifolds for Toyota Tundra 2UZ at xs-power.com. Will it fit UZA70? Any ideas?

2 All^ flywheel has not been tested yet. I will update as soon as info becomes available. It is just suspended. Hopefully in a couple of month something will be done. Now it is just a good shape AE85 body (or 86?) and Toyota Crown Mjesta 1UZ engine nearby.

Update to the thread: as I already wrote - flywheel is fabricated from 2C flywheel. It was lightened, and Auto flywheel gear installed. New holes were drilled to fit 1UZ crankshaft bolts. Here we go: and:

Actuially - this is my firend's AE86+1UZ manual trannsmission project. The hardest thing - is to align W58 back part of bellhousing and 1UZ front part bellhousing, as it will cause lots of problem if mistake occures. Anyway, he got technology (somewhat? - I don't know) to align it properly...

Has anyone looked at 2C diesel flywheel?

At first it was intended to go in AE86 Hachiroku, but now one of the UZA70 dreamers bought it already. It is UZ and W58 bellhousing combo. Looks sexy: Flywheel will be based on 2C flywheel, lightened with the gear replaced with the original UZ one. Clutch will be ceramic hand made.

Hi I began looking at MegaSquirt recently. And it appears to me that the task is more straight-forward than seemed before. I own early Crown UZ, so it is 12 teeth on crank (24 per cycle) and 1 at cam each head. Coupling the stuff together will give me two triges, one - per crank revlutions...

Prices and chances to find R154 are less than same for W58. IMHO. But it is better solution to use R154

I think, that only parts necessary to replace are: - bellhousing, - torque converter to couple mechanical parts together.

BTW, Edwin_S, what about clearance of brake booster and engine head? Do you use stock one or, as advised by Phil, smaller one? I'll have to put crown 7 degree bellhousing, so just guessing how does it fit.

That would be GREAT!!!! It depends on the type of 1UZ pan you have. If you have UZZ30 oilpan, so no modification required. Phil reported that he had to cut a piece of subframe mounts, but I heard from the guy, who did same swap in Russia, that no need to cut anything. It ties. Hardly, but...

The same issue with brake booster in A70 supras - it is too big. The reason - because turbo needs bigger can when engine goes under boost, it holds some reserve. For NA 1UZ projects - smaller cans are used (from HiLux, I guess). ...and my firend told me - we can fix that issue with the hummer ;)

For your crown you need mid-sump. Also you need... eeee... 7 degree angeling to clear steering (search the forum area, it was here but with RH side japanese crown) Originally uzs-131 uses clutch fan AFAIK, you have something all-in-one wiring, so just get ECU for that wiring and that's all.

these are used for travel in lake and swamp areas. mostly for fun :) initially they tryed to use Subaru opposites, but it showed weak poWer. 1UZ - is what this boat needs!

Hmm... 5M engine? seems like 12x crown. I would advise you to try UZS131 crown engine - less problems, I believe.
