Doh,didn't realize the comparison was between two different engine setups. Let's say both cars weigh the same and have the same 60ft time...the turbo V8 should win since it'll produce more torque (more displacement).
That's Toyota and Lexus' online technical database.
It does not allow technicians to do custom ECU programming if that's what you're looking for. All we get are new ECU calibrations, there is no other software to change anything within those calibrations.
Yeah I'm sure he really "designed" those rods...more like he was the first to pay a company to manufacture rods with 1UZ specs.
And I didn't know Todd works for Ross pistons. Maybe he's the Ross employee that David talked to about making 1UZ pistons, but Todd just didn't give Dave his real...
I wonder how close do the piston crown and rod get to the jets when @ bottom dead center? I'd be a little concerned if an aftermarket rod is considerably wider or if a stroker setup is used.
Nice clean swap,thumbs up!
Is it me or is that a different idle air control valve? It's also been relocated. And it looks like he's running non-OEM engine management since he runs no MAF sensor.
I wonder if that would cause half of the injectors not to fire? Just a dumb guess haha.
I don't think the diode trick will work, are you guys talking about the older twin-distributor systems? His SC430 has 8 individual coils (so 8 igt outputs instead of two)
Could you take photos of where...
Are you using the F10X purely for injector control? Haltech's site mentions nothing about ignition outputs...I guess the X series units replaced the old K series systems. Are you still using the stock ECU to control everything else (timing, etc)?
Honestly, with SRT being listed on Haltech's site...
Of the two cars,I prefer the Evo. I just don't like the sound of a Subie flat-4 motor...reminds me a lot of a broken inline-4 engine.
But since I'm also partial to Lexus,I'd get a used 2nd-gen GS. How about a Lexus SUV Dave?
