What I'm asking about is your "possible" replacement alternator. Does it have a serpentine pulley or a v-belt pulley?

Everything on the engine runs on a serpentine belt that has no adjustment. It just has a tensioner pulley. What kind of pulley does your alternator have?

Marlin also has clutches with pressure plates up to 1600lbs. They're almost double the stock plate pressure (900).

It destroys the camaro image. It's as expensive as recent Corvettes. So much for good 'ole cheap Chevy horsepower.

My *guess* is a vacuum leak. My 3VZ ran/runs like a turd with both vacuum leaks and exhaust leaks. Make sure all the hoses attached to the plenum are tight and don't have cracks.

So all of my stock parts should mesh up correctly except for the bell housing by the sound of it? I'll e-mail the guys at Dellow again and see if any of their parts are "special".

Really interesting read. It seems Toyota did a great job with their V12.

It dyno'ed at 320hp without the turbos.... Pics/Proof or it didn't happen.

There are many Z's with both (true) big blocks and small block chevys on the stock frame/drivetrain. Though, if the guy has the know how and determination to build a TT Chevy and drop it in his Z, he probably already took any precautions he thought were necessary.
