    Well Yes and no,Big HP have to be defined..how big?,Its true after market performance parts are costly,ie rods,pistons arp's etc...but that surely applies to other motor also. From what I understand,with Mild SC,or Turbo's ,the cost is not that bad,which should give 400-500 hp with stock...

    Tranny can be beefed up to 400-450 rwhp,that from MV Automatics here in Australia.. The rest of the buildup you seem to have it,as Lextreme said,tuning ..tuning..tuning is the key.. Edit,400-450 rwkw...yes thats MV automatics figures..

    Once was a dude called Jim Hall,he came out in the then "CanAM" series for unlimited sportcar style racing,very interesting it is his "box car".I will try to find a link,to cut to the chase,he had some sort of vacuum device sucking the boxcar to the road.They ended up banning him for reasons...

    Forged pistons are on the cards as for the rods...1 uz rods looks to take the load,considering the GB argrorace rods,but from all account the 1 uz rods should be good for 600-800 HP...So far the twinscrews type looks the go for 500+HP....will look up GT8Justen ,see what is doing..BTW,in Aus here...

    jibbby...the 500-600 hp was at the crank,600 RWKW is massive...I understang big cost involved there,but from what i understand,1uz stock internals should take that(500-600 hp),the point of this thread is to find the ingredients for 500-600 hp(at the crank) maybe thats 450-500KW.?Could very well...
