    Finally Flywheel info

Got a call today from John at LC Engineering. The total price is $400 for a 38lb flywheel. They are doing a production run of the Tacoma flywheels this week so I have to put a deposit on it tomorrow to get that price. If I wait longer it will cost more to set the machine back up. I should have...

1UZ into my Off-Road Long Travel Tacoma

Can you post some more pics of the front hood latch and the cross bar you made? I havent decided yet if I want to do this on my '90 pickup. Looks like it would give me a lot of room. Only thing with mine is I'm keeping the A/C. Thanks.

I apologize for sounding like an ass. I read back through my post and realized that's probably how I was sounding to you guys. I wasn't trying to be. I figured out which way the 2 plates and flexplate go. I will be shipping it off to John at LC Engineering on Monday.

Thanks for the measurements and bolt choices. I do need to know what order these spacers go so I they can make the correct measurements.

    Finally Flywheel info

Decided to make a phone call to LC Engineering. I talked to John in Tech support and found a few things out. The 3VZE and the 5VZE share the same flywheel with one difference. The 5VZE uses a 10" clutch where the 3VZE uses a 9.25" clutch. I am sending him my flex plate along with the spacers to...

    Finally Flywheel info

OH no you have a modified flywheel. You legs are gone for sure. At least thats what 4000gt thinks. Whats the difference between yours and mine? Why is mine going to brake apart? Can you show me or know first hand that this has happened to a stock engine and not a race/drag vehicle with a...

Don't plan on selling it. Good thing, right? I already know what shipping is going to be for just a flywheel from your area. I have already contacted Phil and got quotes from him. Tell you what. Send me a flywheel and we will know what the cost will be.

    Finally Flywheel info

Go back and re-read my first post. I am getting the flywheel balanced after I weld the ring gear on. Last time I checked $435+$100=$535.

    Finally Flywheel info

$435 + $$$$ shipping = more than $500 I should come in at less than $100 for this flywheel. Find a cast flywheel, drill it out to 1/2" and tell me what you find. Its no different than elongating the hole, which has been done by others. The bolts still set to the outside and the flywheel will not...

    Finally Flywheel info

So now everyone speaks up on getting a low cost flywheel. You tell me where I can get a heavy flywheel and not a billet light weight one for less than $500 and I will buy it. No one on this site has posted a price or web site or anything on this. Please tell me! OH, and made in america so it...

    Finally Flywheel info

So after browsing on here for hours at a time for the past few months I've come to realize that when most people get their "custom flywheel" they never seem to post any tech or any pics of the finished product. Well I'm not going to do that. I am building a 1990 xtra cab pickup. I am using a...

    1UZ for my '90 4x4 pickup

Still gathering parts for my swap. I picked up a Adapter for the transmission from a guy off this forum. A local guy had a V6 to 4cyl adapter that I got a few months ago. The engine and trans are in for a test fitment.

I bought a wiring manual off ebay for $25 shipped. It is very detailed and specific to the '93 Lexus motor I have.

    1UZ for my '90 4x4 pickup

I pulled the motor and transmission today. I pulled the harness and everything without cutting it. What else will I need from the donor car besides the ECU?

    1UZ for my '90 4x4 pickup

I am getting all my adapters from Trail-Gear.com. They have the V6 adapter and the dual T-case adapter. I am getting my 1UZ adapter from Phil Bradshaw. His adapter is actually cheaper than I thought.
