No not at all. They all look the same but the connectors varies ever so slightly between them over the years. Similar vintage 1UZ's use the same igniter but not always. Toyota seem to update the igniter every 2 or 3 years. I didn't initially get igniters with my engine(92 UZZ31 Soarer donor)...

No. The Toyota trans would have a mechanical cable link to the engine not a vacuum line some older type transmissions. Check your radiator for oil in the water. That's a lot of fluid to lose.

You'll be suprised. It's two V5(15 degree angle I think) mated side by side together, sharing a common crankshaft like all the other W type engines. Awesome design. The V5 is a VW production engine. Weird but true.
