If you change the load input from TPS to MAP the easiest way to force it into open loop would be to flick the TPS to wide open throttle. It's been a while since I used the SMT6 but I'm sure you could use one of the output wires to do the job when it comes on boost.

That's fair enough - depends on what your aims are though. Ross 8.5:1 pistons in a 1UZ are for some serious boost and a bit of rattle when cold may well be acceptable to the owner.

Zuffen doesn't sell pistons. Think you got the wrong end of the stick there e-solver.

Mine are from a UCF20 Celsior (around 1998) - 4 pot callipers and 296mm rotors. Callipers are much lighter than Supra ones but they're very similar in size.

Where are you located? Unique Autosports in Castle Hill have dynoed a lot of Soarers and are quite helpful.

You should still be able to dyno it and get a comparable result so long as the engine is at operating temp and the fans are running. If your engine isn't getting to full temp you may just have a faulty thermostat. I personally wouldn't remove a perfectly good hydraulic fan setup to install...

I'm sure all cams would need that so I don't think that's proof one way or the other. I've emailed Bullet asking what they have in the way of proof that they're billet. Obviously I hope they are as that's what I asked for.

The cams were about $1600 from memory and I specifically asked if they're regrinds or billet. The new heads are with my mechanic so I'll get him to measure the base circle. The cam lobe is much bigger and wider than the stock cam so if they were regrinds they'd need a lot of extra matierial...

You should do a dyno run with the hydraulic fan and another with the electric fans to see iff you pick up any power at the wheels and how much. An electric fan will never move as much air as the stock fan so it might not be suitable for those living in warmer climates. Just a thought.
